Porsche Carrera Cup Australia drivers Stephen Grove and Marc Cini have continued to show strong pace in Qualifying in the Carrera Cup support race at the La Sarthe Circuit at Le Mans.

The event sees both Porsche Carrera Cup France and Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain combine for a 45-minute curtain raiser for the 24 hour endurance race on Saturday.

Of the 36 Class B competitors, Grove posted the 14th fastest lap and the 38th outright time, 7.8 seconds behind the pole-sitter.

Cini finished 22nd in Class B in the session and 47th in the 61 strong Porsche field.

Frenchman Kevin Estre claimed pole position with a lap of 4:03.366 from countryman Tom Dillmann

Kiwi Earl Bamber qualified third while former Porsche Carrera Cup Australia racer Ben Barker completes the second row.

Grove and Cini will next hit the track on Saturday morning for the sole 45 minute Carrera Cup race of the weekend.
