Craig Baird has claimed his second straight Porsche Carrera Cup Australia race win in Townsville, while Damien Flack has taken the Elite Class race win.
Baird again took the lead at the start from Warren Luff, Nick Percat, Michael Partizi and Steven Richards and Shae Davies
Elite Class race leader Shane Smollen and Duvashen Padayachee continued their battle for position from the opening race until Smollen made contact with the concrete barrier on the entry to the third-to-last corner on lap three, causing race-ending damage.
Damien Flack then inherited the eighth position and the Elite Class race lead from Max Twigg, Tony Bates, James Koundouris, Paul Kelly and Stephen Grove.
By mid-race, Baird had pulled a small gap on the leading pack, with Luff and Percat battling for second and Patrizi and Richards battling for fourth.
Percat moved into second on lap nine but was unable to catch Baird, who claimed his second win of the weekend.
Percat finished second from Luff, Patrizi, Richards, Davies and Padayachee in seventh.
Flack won the Elite Class battle in Race 2 from Twigg, Bates, Grove, Michael Loccisano, Marc Cini, James Bergmuller, Tony Walls, Renee Gracie and Martin Wagg.
Paul Kelly and James Koundouris both joined Smollen on the DNF list after the pair made contact heading onto the front straight.
The final Porsche Carrera Cup Australia race of the Townsville round will be held this afternoon at 1:20pm.
