The schedule for the 2021 Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships season finale at The Bend Motorsport Park has been confirmed with SBS to also broadcast the final Porsche races live.
The national race meeting, which will take place over three days from 10-12 December, will welcome seven categories as part of the round with a mix of state and national series to make-up the schedule.
For the first time in recent years, Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia will run at a Shannons round as it wraps up the 2021 season with three races, including one 40-minute endurance race.
Carrera Cup Australia won’t be the only Porsche category in action, with the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia Series to hold a double round made up of four 30-minute races across the three days.
Both Porsche categories will be part of the two-hour SBS coverage on Sunday afternoon, with Race 3 Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia shown at 12:40 (AEDT) and Race 4 of Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge at 13:55 (AEDT) with the National Sports Sedans Series’ third and final race of the weekend also to feature in the broadcast. Porsche races will also feature in a 1-hour post produced Highlights on SBS, with dedicated social media content, interviews and results on @PorscheMotorsportAU social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube) before, during and after the event.
Fans will also be able to watch all sessions through the dedicated livestream on the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships’ website and Facebook page on both Saturday and Sunday, while the livestream will also be available for fans that cannot attend on the @PorscheMotorsportAU Youtube channel.
Individuals 16 and over can purchase General Admission tickets for $25 per day or $40 for a weekend pass. Children under the age of 15 can enter for free but must register for a ticket.
