THE Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia Championship grid will be full for the remainder of the 2026 championship, Porsche Motorsport Australia has confirmed.
A capacity grid of 28 cars will tackle each of the remaining five rounds, to be held at Queensland Raceway, Shell V-Power Motorsport Park, Bathurst, Surfers Paradise and Adelaide, respectively.
Ahead of the introduction of the new Porsche 911 Cup ahead of the 2027 season – which will see 28 new cars offered to competitors – organisers capped the maximum field for all rounds outside of the Australian Grand Prix to 28.
That capacity has now been filled for all remaining rounds, comprised of 25 championship-registered competitors and a further nine part-time ‘casual’ entries that will fill the remaining spots at the remaining events.
It is a milestone for the category, now two rounds into its 22nd season, that continues to be one of Australia’s strongest national championships and one of the exemplars of Porsche’s one-make competition globally.
