Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia returns to Queensland Raceway this weekend as Harri Jones leads Clay Osborne in a tight duel for the Championship lead.
Just two points separate the pair of them as a field of 28 will take to the 3.12km track at Ipswich.
It’s the seventh time the category will visit the circuit known as the ‘Paperclip’.
The category returned there for the first time in 17 years last year, as Jones claimed the round win.
Jones comes into this weekend having won the opening round in Melbourne, before Osborne claimed his first championship round win in Darwin.
DNA Autosport’s Jacque Jarjo has closed the gap to just three points in the battle for the TechSpecialist Pro-Am championship after his maiden round win in Darwin.
Matt Belford continues to lead the championship, after his clean sweep in Melbourne.

Tom McLennan makes his return to Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia this weekend.
The 21-year-old was a regular in Carrera Cup over the past two years but has been on the sidelines after being involved in a multi-car crash at Surfers Paradise last year.
Tom and his father Grant McLennan decided to bring the car back to their own family workshop to complete the rebuild.
Tim Farrell will make his debut in the ‘main game’ this weekend. The former Sprintcar racer has been competing in Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge regularly in the last 12 months, but will make the step up into Pro-Am.
WEEKEND FORMAT
Queensland Raceway will adopt the new format that was rolled out in Darwin.
There will be a pair of 45-minute races across Saturday and Sunday. The fastest laps from qualifying will set the grid for race one, with the second fastest laps forming the grid for race two.
CENTURY FOR SCOTT TAYLOR
Scott Taylor will make his 100th Carrera Cup race start on Sunday.
He will become the 32nd driver to reach the milestone, after making his debut at Sydney Motorsport Park in 2014.
Meanwhile, Matt Slavin and Liam Talbot will both make their 50th race start on Saturday.

Jones and Sam Shahin dominated Pro and Pro-Am respectively last year, winning all three races.
Times were incredibly close in qualifying, with Jones being only 0.0099 quicker than David Russell, which was the fifth tightest pole margin in championship history.
WEEKEND COVERAGE
The race weekend gets underway on Friday with two practice sessions, followed by qualifying and race one on Saturday and race two on Sunday.
Coverage will be on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports in Australia, while Sky Sport New Zealand will have the coverage for NZ fans.
