Shae Davies has claimed his maiden Porsche Carrera Cup Australia race win in the championship’s second race of the Winton Motor Raceway round.

The Queenslander pulled away from the field early, posted a new lap record and charged to a four-second victory from Race 1 winner Michael Patrizi, Nick Percat and Steven Richards.

Damien Flack took the spoils in the Elite Class, holding off Craig Baird for fifth. Adam Gowans finished seventh from Duvashen Padayachee, Richard Muscat and Warren Luff in 10th.

Paul Kelly finished 11th from Michael Loccisano, Max Twigg, James Bergmuller, Shane SMollen, Tony Walls, Rusty French and Renee Gracie.

Marc Cini and Stephen Grove failed to finish after late race contact, as did Martin Wagg and Tony Bates.
