Following a second-place result in last year’s Paynter Dixon Porsche Carrera Cup Championship Pro-Am Class, ARES Group’s Matt Slavin is eager to go one better in 2025.

Slavin proved a consistent contender during his maiden season in Porsche racing’s top-tier in Australia.

After scoring his first podium at Round 3 in Darwin, Slavin added 11 more in the ARES Group Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car Type 992 prepared by Ashley Seward Motorsport on the way to the runner up slot in Pro-Am.

The 2025 season brings renewed experience and fresh ambitions for Slavin as he targets his first win in Pro-Am, while a title chase also beckons.

“Last year’s Pro-Am runner-up finish was a great result, but what truly excites me for another Porsche Carrera Cup season is the steady progress I made last year especially at new tracks,” said Slavin.

“The foundation is set, and consistency is key for 2025. With my incredible sponsors, family, and the #85 Ares Group 992 Cup Car once again backed by Ashley Seward Motorsport, everything is in place.

“Now, it’s on me to turn up the dial. My goals are to keep improving, chase podiums and enjoy every lap.”

The Paynter Dixon Porsche Carrera Cup Championship schedule includes the biggest events on the Australian motorsport calendar featuring the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, Bathurst, Gold Coast and Adelaide.

Slavin will get his 2025 Paynter Dixon Porsche Carrera Cup Championship campaign underway with the support of Ares Group, Combo Structures, Eateo and Mildow at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 21-23.
