Nick McBride has secured the TAG Heuer Pole Position late in the Thursday qualifying session, while fellow Melbourne based driver Stephen Grove was the best of the TAG Heuer Pro-Am drivers.
McBride and Michelin Junior driver Jordan Love will start race one from the front row, ahead of series points leader Jaxon Evans and reigning champion David Wall filling the second row.
Michael Almond will start fifth from experienced racers Alex Davison and James Moffat, who’s best lap was also under qualifying lap record pace.
Grove, who placed third in class in Adelaide, was the best TAG Heuer Pro-Am driver in qualifying, ahead of round winner class winner Roger Lago, Max Twigg and Adelaide 500 Pro-Am pole-sitter Anthony Gilbertson.
