Reigning Elite Class champion Max Twigg has joined forces with high performance paint protection specialists, Permagard Automotive, for the remainder of the 2012 Porsche City Index Carrera Cup Australia season.
Twigg, the 2011 Elite Class winner, currently leads the 2012 Elite Class standings from James Koundouris and Shane Smollen after achieving nine race victories and three round wins in the class so far this season.
The Victorian now looks forward to the coming rounds of the Porsche one-make championship, hopeful to retain a strong hold on the Elite Class points lead with his new-look Permagard Automotive backed Porsche.
“Having Permagard Automotive on board is another great step in what has been a very successful season so far,” said Twigg.
“It’s refreshing to give my car some new colours entering the latter stages of the championship. I hope we can have some impressive results in the coming rounds and give Permagard Automotive some great exposure for the remainder of 2012.”
Managing Director at Permagard Australasia, Mark Pettitt, believes the new collaboration will be a great marketing initiative for the launch of the new Permagard Automotive advanced protection brand in Australia and New Zealand.
“Permagard Laboratories have developed a revolutionary paint protection system, specifically for the luxury car market in Australia and we are honoured to launch this new product range in part, by being associated with Porsche City Index Carrera Cup Australia for the remainder of the season through our partnership with Max Twigg,” said Pettitt.
“We hope this is the beginning of an exciting and sustained relationship with all Porsche owners in Australia and New Zealand.”
Twigg’s Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car will feature the distinctive Permagard Automotive livery for the remaining three rounds of the 2012 Porsche City Index Carrera Cup Australia season at Mount Panorama (October 04-07), Gold Coast (October 19-21) and the season finale at Sydney Olympic Park (November 29 to December 02).
